This is an real email letter address to a brother in the Faith that questioned and just flat deny of the Holy Spirit. I felt it neccassary to put this letter on my site because this brother could not be the only. And I would be slack as a brother in Christ if I allowed him to error in some fundamental truth.
My dear Brother, God has structured our conversion in such a way, so that I can see where I‘m in my Salvation Walk. I know it sounds funny but remember when we started this conversion with a prayed for our hearty discussion? Well if you remember I prayed that the Lord would reveal all that He has place on your heart towards the Kingdom.
The kingdom that you are revealing is so different from the Kingdom I want and was promised. The question is before us is; Where is it written in the Word of God(Elohyim) we are to worship the Holy Spirit of God as God(Elohyim)? Well actually this is easy, if you understand the meaning, the structure, and have a Greek Lexicon. John 4: 24, “God is Spirit and they that worship must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” NASB. You will truly need somebody to help you to misunderstand but since you deny the Deity of the Spirit of God, the exegesis starts herein .
God is Spirit, which part of this do we have a problem with? Just to make it more clear, by adding the ‘a’ in front of Spirit makes the sentence move smoothly but it is not in the original Greek. Okay now that we have past that little point, we come to where we are told again but this time we are given directions on God’s Way of worship. We know that this is a commandment because the Lord Jesus used the word ‘must’, in the Greek must in dei/ 1163 (in the Strong’s). Dei means it is necessary, there is need of, it behooves, is right and proper. Now in the original text ‘Him’ does not appear because it is implied, which brings us the subject of the preposition ‘in’, spirit and truth.
What we have are two conditions that are requirements for worshipping the Most High Lord God Jehovah and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And we do want to worship God (Elohyim) correctly? Pneuma is the word for Spirit in the Greek. In the Strong’s it is #4151 meaning the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son. So we have linked the LORD God as being the Holy Spirit; let’s carry this line up to where the Holy Spirit has led us to, ‘in’ truth.
John 14: 6, “Jesus (Yahshua) said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no man comes to the Father but through Me.” NASB. Altheia, Strong’s #225 is the Greek word for truth in both verses is, so we are forced to think that both verses are talking about using the same word. It gets its rooted from the word althes, Strong’s #227, loving the truth, speaking the truth, truthful. The word in our text in altheia which means the truth as taught in the Christian religion, respecting God and the execution of His purposes through Christ, and respecting the duties of man, opposing alike to the superstitions of the Gentiles and the inventions of the Jews, and the corrupt opinions and precepts of false teachers even among Christians. Now as in reference to the truth, this is what I think of when anybody talks about the truth. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ embodies this definition just stated and then some. Whenever someone starts to tell about the truth the Lord Jesus is the starting point.
Now that I have your attention, let’s get something straight. I too have an unction from the Holy One Who leads me into all trues, but I am not so super spiritually that I can just read my Bible, in quite, and the Lord just starts revealing Himself to me. There are libraries that are treasure troves of knowledge on various subjects pertaining to the things of God. And I make myself available to these commentaries, expository letters, and writings of man the Faith. In this I am addressing this from statements you concerning your unction, “You ask me do I have a Strong’s concordance & Lexicon that have Hebrew in it for knowledge about Elohiym. I have the Holy Spirit which guides me through the Holy Word & shows me things to come, that the Holy Prophets spoke of, from Elohiym.” This a not just one of those verses that is misquoted but it is misunderstood and used at the wrong time. The word is question is unction or anointing the Strong’s definition is to smear as into pour on with oil. We know that the Holy Spirit is typified in scripture as oil. So the question remains; is this what you were talking about?
Back to the topic at hand; the Deity of the Holy Spirit. We stop at the person of the Truth. Yes the Truth is a Person. Since the Jesus is the starting ground and the foundation in which we have our hope and faith, it would stand to reason that the truth is the Truth. We have actually come to the fundamentals and the place where you and I differ. This gives us two opposing platforms of preaching, teaching, and expounding the Word of God (Elohyim) on. If you and I can’t come to some common ground, especially the fundamentals, then this is where I leave this conversion. Not in defeat, but in the victory to know that the same Spirit of Truth, Whom you deny as Deity will avail himself to you in His Season and has allowed me the opportunity to converse with has laid the ground work of Salvation in your heart. What has this done for me? Because this conversion has come to me in rough patch and the studying that I have done to converse with you has cause my faith to grow, and for that I am thank God.
The Deity of the Holy Spirit and the commanded order on how to worship the LORD God should not be doubt. I took a verse from 1 Corinthians 1: 17 where the Apostle Paul states the Gospel and it’s doctrines should not be preach, not with a bunch of words to make oneself look more important so that the cross will not have an effect on the life of sinner or saint. The only thing I tried was answer the question using the Word of God (Elohyim) and now all I ask is that look in the Word without your mind up about what’s there.
This the end of my letter. I hope anybody that reads this look to see if I am correct in my studies. If I am correct, let us live up to the calling but if I am in error showing me in the Love of Christ would be welcome.
