My wife asked me what last year was in a rhetorical way, “Wasn’t this year the ‘Year of Restoration?” I agreed and after a small conversation of the events of lives, we knew that the Lord had has His Way in our lives and our love ones as well.

Because of my Calling, Evangelist, I have found my heart being turned more and more towards the final destination of the Saved and the Unsaved. And as of late my concern is for the Church. I have had several conversations with God-fearing Christians that have shown the proof of scriptures namely Jude 4, “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to the condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” King James Version. There are many blossoming reasons for this, but the budded reason is the same as it has always been; to take the Cross of Christ and make it of no effect towards the Salvation and Edification of mankind.

The letter to the church in Corinth from the Apostle Paul was calling for unity but not just to them also to us, 1 Corinthians 1: 2, “…to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be Saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord…”. If you fit any of these descriptions of Salvation then the Holy Spirit through Paul is talking to you as well as me.

Now that we have been awakened to 1 Corinthians it has something in it for us. What is this letter telling us? Let’s look at verse ten which is where we are encouraged to have unity, “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no division among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” This is a call from the Holy Spirit that dwells in the Redeemed of the Lord to be ONE. Brothers and Sisters, there are too many different little ministries in the Body saying that they have the way to Salvation, the truth from the LORD God, and the key to a prosperous life. But I ask the question: How is that possible when the Lord Jesus said in John 14: 6, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father but by Me.”? Meaning that God one into His Presence that is through Christ and Him alone, why are we trying to teach and preach another Jesus?

Is Christ divided? Is there a different Jesus for the various denominations we have broking ourselves up into? Before I go into the how we are divided, let’s see how we are to be united. The Apostle Paul penned these words under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God, 1 Cor. 1: 17, “For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the Cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”

Brothers and Sisters, this is not a hard concept to grasp; the Cross of Christ has Power. In several conversation with other Christians, they have tried to say that the cross of Christ in not that effective and we have to add some kind of work or keep the Law in conjunction with Christ’s Finished Work of the Cross. When the Lord Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane, Mark 14: 32- 42, His prayer was if there is any other way let this cup be removed. The cup was the Cross which paid for our liberty, salvation, redemption, and gives us access to the Throne and Presence of God.

So armed with this knowledge; there is Power in the Cross of Christ, what does this mean for us? Well to make a long story short, we have to have our faith firmly planted to the Atoning Work of Christ. If you are having problems understanding this simple truth than you might not understand Romans 6, 7, and 8. Don’t be discouraged, I am still learning how to work by faith and not by sight. See, we can see our work and our law keeping, these activities restrict the move of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

The Call for Unity is so loud in my heart that it hurts. Not physical pain but a spiritually one. What hurts is that there are going to be Christians in hell knowing that they have served in error but here they believe that they are on the Path of Salvation. I’m sure who said it but it is a true statement, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” Think about it like this: The LORD God is the only One that knows where He lives. So wouldn’t stand to reason that we take the directions that He left for us in the form of the Lord Jesus.

Here is what I have found; if it makes sense then it probably isn’t of God. Verse eight-teen proves this point, “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; …” See the enemy knows that in the mind of the modern man a dead Jew hanging on a cross makes no sense in regards to gaining righteousness. But if we can do something towards gaining that righteousness, now that makes sense. God preached the gospel to Adam and Eve in Genesis 3: 15 and showed them how the Redeemer would save us in Genesis 3: 21. Now if we glue these two scriptures together with four thousand years of Leviticus’ System of worship we make a bee-line straight for the Cross of Calvary on the bloody back of the Lord Jesus.

I wish that we all would speak the same thing. Some have said that there needs to be diversity in the Body of Christ. Isn’t there enough diversity in the world? If we are supposed to be in the process of being made in the image of Christ through the Workings of the Holy Spirit then why are there so many different paths? Well that is the easiest question with an even easier answer; so we wouldn’t in eternity with the LORD.

Living a life under Grace sounds easy but it’s not. Faith in Christ crucified is hard because it calls for us to wait on the Lord. Not the cliché but a lifestyle of waiting on the Lord to provide the means for the course of our lives. And this is found only in God’s Will. This is where the Unity comes in. Meaning, this is the end of the enemy Dividing the Body of Christ and Conquering us one denomination at the time. The division that exist in the Church weights down the praise and the worship of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Perfectly joined together in the same mind and same judgment is the goal for all Believers and all this is to be done, only, in Christ Jesus our Lord. I don’t have the authority to declare a year but I do the authority to beseech my family to become unified in the Lord Jesus, only because this is the true heart of the Believers of the Lord Jesus Christ, John 10: 30.

Romans 13: 11- 14 & Ephesians 6: 10- 20

Throughout the Pauline epistles we find the phrase, put on Christ or some variation. When we here this we think of ‘The Amour of God‘ from Ephesians. But it has a deeper meaning then what we have been taught. What I have found in my studies will bless you as it has been blessing me. Some of us can recite Ephesians 6: 10- 20 with no problem and many yet can draw us a picture and show us what it looks like from the amour of a Roman guard, formed from where Paul got his inspiration from. But as the Holy Spirit was dealing with me about an issue in my life He dropped this into my spirit with such a force as only He can do. And it just wouldn’t let me go. As always, I will give it to you as the Holy Spirit gave it to me.

I was in my normal study time, I started with 1 Peter 5: 8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about seeking whom he may devour:” then the Lord echoed this my spirit, “Be vigilant.”. We already know that soldiers are vigilant, because when you stand vigilant you stand on the guard and every watchful. Now that the Lord had my attention, I was taken to Ephesians 6, the Amour of God passage where He had me to look at what we are to put on; truth and righteousness in verse 14, peace in verse 15, faith in verse 16, and salvation and the Spirit in verse 17. The Lord brought these out to me for a reason that at the time I couldn’t see until He caused me to run the scriptural reference. Look at what I found.

Having your loins girt about you with TRUTH, go to John 14: 6 where the Lord Jesus tells us that He is the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father but by Him. Connect the dots, Jesus is the truth we are to put on. Girt is past tense of gird which means to encircle or fasten. I thought I knew where the loins were but after looking them up in the dictionary I now know that it is our pubic region and our reproductive area. So it would seem that, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, when the Apostle Paul is giving us the command to get dress out in the Lord Jesus the first garment is for us to place our manhood and lady parts in Christ for their proper use.

Having on the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS, takes us to 1 Corinthians 1: 30. But of Him are we in Christ Jesus, Who God made for to our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, redemption. Which means that when we are in Christ we have a right standing with God. Now this right standing that we have with God is placed on our heart because that’s what the breastplate guards. The breast is where the seat of emotion and where thoughts are birthed. In Christianity we call this the heart of man. The next piece of clothing in our Christian wear is our right standing with God through the Cross of Christ.

Feet shod with preparation of the gospel of PEACE, because of our justification through faith in Christ Jesus we have peace God. Romans 5: 1 show where our peace comes from. Before our justification, we were at enmity with God not the other way around as some would tell us. That’s why Word of God tells us that God so loved us that He gave. This verse goes to prove that God wants us to seek His Face. To shod in an old fashion way of saying put your shoes on, that’s it. The Holy Spirit is telling us to walk in the good news of the peace that we have with God through Christ and Him Crucified.

Let see where the LORD has us. Go over to Romans 13: 11- 14 and understand that this is a call to action. Twice this passage told us to put on: Put on the amour of light and put on the Lord Jesus Christ. Now I’m going to put this to where the babes can get to it. We have our pants on so now we are not doing ‘that’ anymore. Our mind, thoughts, emotions, and feelings are in right standing with God. We have on our shoes of faith so that we can walk in the peace that was purchased for us at the Cross. So now we have three more pieces of amour so we can go to battle for the Cause of Christ.

Taking the shield of FAITH, makes more sense if we have something to hang our faith on. We make our faith so complicated and spooky. When somebody asks you, “Okay, being a Christian, what do you believe in?” If say more than I believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary to save me from eternity in hell and He did the same for you if you believe, than you probably don’t have the faith that God will honor. And you need to check yourself. Hebrews 11: 1, is a notable quotable but do you really know what it means? This is what I got: Faith is to take the reality of what Christ Jesus did at the Cross and make it real in my heart. The shield is what is used to hide with when the battle gets a little hot and heavy. How else do you expect to live, Habakkuk 2: 4.

Take the helmet of SALVATION, which is our Lord Jesus. The ministry of Jesus was to save us from our Sin Nature. While watching my father clean and repack his ruck sack, I asked him a crazy question, “What is your helmet for?” He told me to put on, so I did. Then he made sure it was on securely; it was sort of uncomfortable and cumbersome. After a few minutes he told me to pass him something that was behind me, I turned and he hit me in the head; hard. With a little bit of ringing in my ears I retreated to place far away from him. Then I saw what he had used, it was his little shovel. “Son, this shovel can crack your skull wide open with just that one blow but the helmet gave you enough protect to get out of the line of fire and think about what’s your next plan of action.” The enemy is coming for our heads and we need to have Christ on the brain so we can have enough sense to get out and plan the attack.

The sword of the SPIRIT, which is the word of God. The Word was made into flesh and dwelt among us, John 1: 14. A sword is used for both defense and offense. But when to use it? Well there the rub, use Him all the time. I have personally found that we worship an all weather God. What do you need, He’s got it. Paul found out that there’s enough in Christ for all our needs, 2 Corinthians 12: 9. The help that comes from God in the name of Jesus is sufficient, good enough. And just so you know, it takes a humble vessel to wheeled this sword. There is no room for arrogance in the combat because battle is not ours.

Look at verse Ephesians 6: 12, “For we wrestle not with flesh and blood … but against spiritual wickedness in high places.” When it’s time for battle; you have to have your shoes laced up tight, your belt on right, put something in you hands and put your helmet on right and tight cause it’s going to be a long night. The Word of God is very clear about the fact that we need to put on the Lord Jesus, but I know where we fall short, Jesus isn’t gonna feel right if we still have on our old man or woman. I would like wearing a new suit with same funky, nasty drawers on, but think they are our lucky drawers. After awhile the stench of the old clothes will come through, and now you look good but nobody wants to be around you.

Colossians 3: 5- 10, tell us to mortify and put away our old ways, put off the old self with his deeds and then put on the new man which know is Christ Jesus. I know it sounds hard, well that’s because we like to do the old deeds. I know, I am still pulling off the old man but I am replacing him with the New Man. Be vigilant because the enemy is waiting for a shot to take us out but I thank God for allowing me the chance to to put on the Lord.

You have heard the story about the man that goes into a bar and there are men sitting at a card table and they brat the man to sitting with them a playing a couple of hands of poker, for fun. And the man tells the other men that his father didn’t teach him how to play cards, but he will play hand for the fun of it. After a few hands the man start to win until the other are left with just the ghosts of the dignity. Then one of the card sharks ask the man, “I thought you said you father didn’t teach you how to play poker.” The man just smiles and tells the men, “Yeah my Daddy didn’t teach me how to play poker but my Mama did. Y’all have a good day now.We ll both of my parents instilled in my brother and myself the same words of wisdom, “Play the hand you are dealt until it’s your turn the deal.”

Reading Luke 6: 6- 11 we find a man that was dealt a bad hand. But don’t concentrate on the hand, look at the man and where he is; in Church. Sometimes when we don’t go to church we miss our blessing. We think that if God is going to heal us we need to home in our sick bed so God can find us in our pitiful condition so He will be moved to Move on our behalf. We serve a God of action, Godly Action. Are you in a Godly Territory to receive your blessing from God?

Now look where Jesus was, in Church teaching. How can we get a Word from God if we aren’t in the place where Word is coming forth? Don’t let this bite you too hard, just receive it with the Love it comes to you in. Jesus wasn’t on the web, on tape, DVD, or on T.V. He was at the Church House. When was the last time you were at Church so you can get that fresh manna? Jesus gave the man three Divine commandments, they are for us too but we have to recognize them and do what they say.

Stand up, step out, and stretch forth; yes they sound easy but unless we are willing to allow Jesus to be the Lord of our life these are the most complex instruction every given to mankind. As Christians we get the concept of going to church so we can give the appearance of Holiness. But do we do the things of Holiness? For some of us we got the church attendance part down to a science. Now who are we going there to see? While the Word was going forth the Spirit spoke to the man through the man of God. When was the last time the Word spoke to you? We are suppose to be in a relationship with God, but we are to concern with our relationships in church that we can’t hear from the Lord when He is ready to reveal His Will in our lives.

The Lord Jesus gives two instructions in verse eight that sound a bit redundant, “Rise up, and stand forth in the midst.” Stand up and step out are two actions that we Christians hear a lot, but don’t do unless we think we are going to get some point of pride out of it. As broken as we are from our own prideful lifestyle you would think that when the Lord calls us we should be ready for God to heal us. The last sentence of the verse is the part that we have the problem with, “And the man rose and stood forth.” The man that need the healing heard the voice of the Lord and was obedient to His Calling. Are we obedient to our upward calling in Christ or we waiting for our calling with a position and title?

God only calls the humble and He only uses those who He breaks. Let’s go with the idea of our humility and brokenness is already in the face of the Lord, we become candidate for a healing from the Master. In these six verses we never read, “And Jesus laid hands of the man.” I think we have to many church folk wanting the Lord to touch them and not speak to them. The Lord TOLD the man, “ Stretch out your hand.” The Lord is still telling the man to do something, this is so not talked about the Church today: Acting on the Word of the Lord.

I want to be perfectly understood, God only speaks Bible. If you get a Word from the Lord and it can be confirmed in the Word of God it’s not the from on High, it’s from down below. Take it like you want to but I have got to give you the GOD that I know. Just like verse eight verse ten has the Lord giving the man an instruction and the last sentence is the man being obedient to the Master. Oh how the Church would be this obedient to the Word of the Lord. We just love to make up our own word and pray for the Lord to get behind it. You name me one household where the servants tell the master what to do. What is the name of the kingdom that the lord is subjected to the subjects? 2 Corinthians 5: 17, “Therefore any man that is in Christ is a better man…”

We serve a God that is not obligated to do anything for us, so when He tells us to do something we should do it because we know that all that God does is good. God is more interested in healing us then exalting us. The main reason for Christ to be crucified was to make way for the Holy Spirit in our lives to Glorify the LORD. Salvation is all about healing. Or where you not sick in sin? I know I was sick of sin. The word restore in the Greek means to bring to health and soundness. Is that not what every child of God wants?

The Lord is constantly telling me to stand up on your Faith, take a step out on your Faith in Christ, walk then run the race to I have set before you. We’ve all been dealt a bad hand but the part we all keep forgetting is: We Won. Don’t let the enemy whisper in your ear that he has a better game in town, he is a defeated foe.

In spike of the man’s condition it didn’t stop him from going to church so he could hear a Word of healing from the man of God. While the man was there he was sensitive to the Move of the Spirit and the instructions of the Lord inside the Move. Most importantly the man was obedient to the Word of the Master after He called him out. Then the man got what he came for; his restoration. Child-like faith; get up, come here, do this, and be healed.

Romans 12: 14, ‘Bless those who persecute you; bless and curse not.’ NASB

We have here before us two vocabulary words; Bless & Curse. Bless in the Greek is to speak well of someone and curse in the Greek is to wish anyone evil or ruin. Well now since the Apostle was speaking to the Christians that lived in Rome and to us, why would the Holy Spirit inspire him to write these words? I mean for what reason would God have tell His Children not to be mean to others, but be nice and kind in our speaking to one other? I mean if we are doing good works powered by the Hoy Spirit why would anybody persecute us? Well probably because He knew that the world and other Christians would hate and disrespect us when we are doing the Will of God.

Now for some us, this goes against who we are. Come on now seriously, when somebody does wrong something to you and you know that you are doing what God told you to do but they go and put up a road block in your way, it is time to give them the business. But you see on this side of the Cross we are suppose to have some of the Fruit of the Spirit being develop in our lives. Right?

When the Lord Jesus was being nailed to the cross He didn’t pronounce curses upon the Roman soldiers, no He said, “Father forgive them for they know on what they do.” When Stephen was being stoned to death he prayed, “Lord, lay this not to their charge.” This is where we need to be walking to in our Christian walk. At the crushing times in our lives we need to be developing in the Fruits.

I could look to all these Christians calling government official out there name because of the passing of ‘Obama-Care’. But I am going to look at the one that matter when it comes to me being with my Jesus or a table in the smoking section of eternity, ME. When enough pressure in applied on my head, there is good chance I will tell you actually what’s on my mind. And the last thing I am thinking about doing is pray for my enemy, I pray but the ‘a’ will turn into an ‘e’.

I will be honest in saying that I don’t have it together in the Fruits of the Spirit department but I want to and I will not stop praying for them until I get them. The Epistle of James in chapter 3 talks about the fire and poison that lives in the tongue, I believe the Holy Spirit is talk directly to me in this passage.

Now I believe in blessing people. I think it shows your maturity level in Christ if you have an encouraging word for someone in their time in the pit. Now flipping my the hand over and let’s look at all the dirt I missed, when I’m in the ditch I tend to curse my way out. I know this is unholy and I have no excuse for it so I won’t give you one.

My wife will tell me that I have to much Word in me to still be acting like that, and she is right. When the pressure is on that is when the Fruit is suppose to pop out. Did you know that God allow us to go through trials to show us where we are in Christian Walk? If you look at verses 19 & 20 you will see something that should give you joy.

I know for a fact the whatever God starts He will finish, Philippians 1:6. So being armed with this Word, God took me from being hand thrower during my times of pressure but now I am just mouth; a barking rottweiler behind the fence. God knows my heart is to have the pressure on me and just stay in prayer until the trial in over.

The ability to feed my enemy, give them water when they are thirsty and not, in my mind, calling them every name but a child of God, that’s Fruit at it’s ripest and ready for picking.

Christians have three parts in our lives: Prayer Life, Study Life, & Church Attendance. If you miss one of these points do you feel like you have commended a sin, or that you have to double up on that point the next time? You are in the Sphere of Law. These three points of our lives are very important but they merit nothing in the Eyes of God. We are justified by our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit imputes righteousness by the shed Blood of Christ on Calvary’s Cross. At the base of the Cross the Lord Jesus brings His Righteousness and we bring our sins. The Spirit of God puts our sins in the Grave and puts Jesus’ Righteousness on us. As long as we stay with our Faith ‘in Christ‘, we are in the Sphere of Grace and this is the only place where the Holy Spirit has latitude to move in us to make us like Christ. If the Law could have made us like Christ, then why did Jesus have to die on the Cross?

If you know me then you know one simple fact about me. Ambe don’t eat scrambled eggs. It’s not for any real reason other than scrambled eggs look funny, taste strange, and I don’t think they there are cooked thoroughly. This fact was discovered by my father when I was about five or six.

He fixed breakfast; scrambled eggs, grits, and bacon. He served it to me and went to get my little brother ready for the day. He was about a year old. When he came to check on me and see if I was finished he discovered that I had ate everything but the eggs.

“Ambe eat your eggs so we can leave.”

“I don’t like scrambled eggs, they look funny.”

“Ambe, I’m not playing with you, we don’t have all day for this. Eat them eggs or I’m gonna whip you.’

This was the first power struggle, and I won. Yeah, I had to take a whipping but I didn’t eat those eggs. Ambe don’t eat scrambled eggs. Yes, I tasted them and I had made the complex mind decision that, Ambe don’t eat scrambled eggs.

I eat them boiled, fried hard with the yoke broke, or you can even mix it in bowl with salt and pepper. But once they hit’s the hot pan leave it alone, don’t go messing with until it is finished cooking on the one side. Flip it and make an omelet out of it. But let it be made known far and wide, Ambe don’t eat scrambled eggs.

My wife made breakfast for us one morning when we first got together, she was my girlfriend then. She made sausage, cheese and egg sandwiches. I took the eggs off because they were scrambled; she took it as an insult.

“Oh, you don’t like the way I make eggs?”

“No, that’s not it. I don’t eat scrambled eggs. Not in a box with a fox.” She didn’t think it funny.

“Was that suppose to be funny? Are you calling me some little fox? I’m not a fox and you ain’t J.J. from ’Goodtimes’.

After I explained that I don’t eat scrambled eggs and the Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs & Ham pun. She understood that her boyfriend was strange.

“You eat omelets. You eat the eggs on a breakfast sandwich from the fast food places and they’re scrambled.”

“No, they are scrambled prior to cooking and served as fried eggs.”

Ten years later, she still thinks I’m strange but she knows, “Ambe don’t eat scrambled eggs.”

When our son was about 15 months we went back to Virginia to visit family, but we stopped in South Carolina to see my Grandmother. In the morning she made us a real big breakfast: grits, real bacon, sausage, fried green tomatoes, and scrambled eggs. I ate everything, yes the eggs too. My wife just smiled because she knew I wasn’t gonna say anything to my Grandma about what I don’t eat. Because there is a higher power in play; Grandma don’t care what you don‘t eat.

Here lies the meat of my presentation. One of the main reasons why the world would accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour is because they won’t eat scrambled Jesus. Can we blame them? We have more division than a Math Book. The Lord laid this on my heart, “If you all come out of your dark denominations they will come in the Light of the Gospel.”

Psalms 34: 8, “O taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” (NASB) Let’s look and see what this one verse is telling us.

The first thing we have to see in this verse is that it’s a narrative, the Holy Spirit through David is telling us to do something. From what I remember about sentence structure when you start with a verb the noun is ’you’. The exclamation ’O’ wants to get your attention. Now let’s go to the two main verbs: taste and see.

Taste is the Webster Dictionary means to experience, to undergo, to try and determine by taking a small bit, or to sample. See is defined as to understand, to make sure, to be hold, to take note or to discern. Now that we are armed with this knowledge we have a little clarity of the intent of what the Holy Spirit is starting to tell us.

“Hey you, take a sample bite and try to get a notable understanding of the LORD and His Goodness.” Wait a minute before we go to the next part of the verse let’s make sure we have good understanding of the Biblical meaning of good. The Hebrew word for good carries the thought of something or someone that is pleasant, beautiful, lovely, delight, convenient, fruitful, precious, and expensive. The only way you can see if something is good is to put it through a battery of tests and then you can determine if it’s good.

When we go to the next verse we see that the Spirit has a planned reason He want us to taste and see about Him. How blessed is the man in the Hebrew means look how happy the warrior or mighty man or woman is. What the man is doing should be paid close attention to; taking refuge. You only need to take refuge when you are under attack by forces that are more powerful then you. The world is full of obstacle. This verse is encouraging us to get inside of God’s goodness where there is safety.

If we, Christians, would stop with all the warring that we do between the denominations, then maybe we can witness to the world about the Goodness of God in the Christ Jesus. To take it back to my egg story, we, Christians, need to give the world Jesus uncooked. Let them cook Him their way because the world don’t eat scrambled Jesus.

The problem with Christianity is Christians. We make a beautiful and simple message of salvation so complex. How simple is this, the LORD God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the Tree, they did and now all their children (mankind) will die, God loved us so much He said I will sent My Son to die for them that believe, if they believe that Jesus died for their sins, when they die (in this life) will be with God forever and ever, but if they don’t believe they will go to Hell, the hot and smokey place where they will be tortured day and night forever and ever.

We need to give them Jesus not some crazy man-made idea that’s on the New York Times Best-Sellers List. Jesus said He is the Truth, the Way, and the Life no man or woman come to the Father but through Him. That seems simple, because it is. Give them the egg let them cook it for themselves, give Jesus let them find how to ‘cook’ His Will for themselves. That’s why it’s called a Personal Relationship.

This is not a call for a New Year’s Resolution it’s time to for a Lifetime Renewing. We are going to come out of your little denomination in the big Body of Christ and start doing what Jesus said, Go into the world and teach them about Me. World, if you don’t know how good God is taste and see because He is good, He is good, He is good. Homework: Find out why those nine works are a pun.

Some people have taken the verse out of context to show that the Law makes us not sin. But if you read if in the context of the whole 26 verses like the Holy Spirit meant you will that the Legalistic avenue is not in the neighborhood.

If you take this chapter after the LORD God has given Israel the Ten Commandments you find the people scared out of their mind. Think of it like this: Three million people are standing at the foot of Mount Sinai and the Voice the Lord is followed by thunder, lighting, and the sound of a trumpet and the mountain is smoking. The last time they saw this was in Egypt and the Lord was dealing with Pharaoh about letting them go free. Therefore, natural Israel was afraid of God. Now let us good back to Genesis 3: 8- 10.

Adam & Eve had just sinned by eating of the Tree and they heard the Sound of the Lord walking in the cool of the day, so they hid themselves from the One that loves them unconditionally. God sees our hiding from Him as sin. Why? The only time we hide is when we have done something wrong.

Picture this: the Children of Israel are about three million and while the Lord is talking to them, ’Thou (thunder) shall (lighting) not (trumpet sounding)…” and this is for every word from the Mouth of the LORD. So with all that and a mountain smoking they took one giant step back and tried to hide themselves behind each other. And the Children of Israel ’elected’ Moses as their Mediator, verse 19.

Now verse 20 makes sense, “Children of Israel don’t be afraid of your God He is showing you Who He is so you would forget Him. The LORD your God wants your reverence and love, don’t hid from Him in your Sin Nature.”

See, just like Adam in the Garden, Israel’s be afraid would cause them to sin by running from the LORD, but we need to run to God because He has the Cure for they Dis-Ease, His Love. As Children of God through Christ Jesus need not to be afraid of God but we do need to have Fear (reverence, adore) of the Lord. As a parent would, you want your child to be afraid of you or love & trust you enough to obey you?

Stop trying to find reasons to get others to fall into legalism.

Look at all the people that are waiting to be ministered to.

Listen for the Word from the Lord to tell you what to say to their hurting heart.

I have gone to many social network sites and read a few post and blogs about ‘What Christmas Ain’t’ and ‘How We Christians Need to Stop Celebrating Christmas’ because blah blah blah blah blah blah.

How about if we do something radical and just out there this year? Why don’t we start reflecting the Light of the world and not slapping folk upside the head with our little denominational issues? Wouldn’t that be fun?

If I were still in the world, I would tell my children about a fat white man that has gifts for them because they have good. Instead of all the crazy religious yack-yack that Christians throw out this time of year.

I am a simply truck driver. I delivery pallet and pick up scrap pallets and wood. Every business I go to I wish them a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. Oh yeah I forgot and a smile. See I show the world what God showed me, LOVE.

I don’t break out my Bible that I have in my bag for when I’m waiting to get loaded or unloaded. I don’t tell them the story about the First Christmas. I just give them love. Now if the Spirit tells me to say something to them I do, and then I listen to them pour their heart out and give them Who healed my heart. Not a sermon but a short and to the point word. I give their hurting soul a band-aid, and allow the Great Physician to do His Work.

I am soldier in the Army of the Lord and at this time of year I’m in the medical corps. When I got the orders that somebody is hurt on the battlefield; I go in, put a press band-aid on the wound, and get them to the Field Hospital so the real Doctors can do think job. (Yeah I watch way too much M.A.S.H.)

So why don’t we try and be the Christmas Cheer we talk about?

Merry Christmas and Have Blessed New Year.

One of the things that I realized about being a father for the past three years. Another way to start is God has shown how I am as a Christian, babe in Christ. I am at time s a whiny, trifling, ungrateful child. Now some times my son does say, “Daddy, I love you.” that does my heart some good. It makes all the long days and short nights worth it. But the days that he is just working my nerves with his wants, not needs. Daddy I want some water, I want to watch Max & Rudy, I want to go outside, I want to go inside, where is Mommy?, what is she doing?, why is the airplane in the sky? Thoughts are the days that are hard to get through. But God being rich in mercy told me, “I have a planet full of these and you are one of the babies.”

Yes in John 16: 23-28 Jesus told how we are to pray to the Father in His name, but at what point do we pray just to talk the our Father. God is our Father because we have been adopted into the Beloved, Romans 8: 15 & 16. My son is three so he does not have the full vocabulary to talk like an adult but when he talks to me I listen because he is my son. Romans 8: 26-28, tells us the Spirit intercedes for us by searching our heart to interpret what we want in the Will of God.

I call my father about ones a week just to say, “Hey, what’s up, and how are you doing?” While we talk he gives me little jewels of wisdom, just something that came across his mind that he find and it might help me in my life. And as a good father he feels like any words of wisdom he can give to his son in this cold, cruel world would help. Now that’s how God the Father wants, no desires for us. His Heart is so open to us in the way of giving freely the little jewels that He can’t wait to open up the ‘windows’ of Heaven and pour us out Blessings that we will not have room to store them.

As Christians we have full access to the Throne of GOD because we are children of the KING.

There was this man that had figured out how to save the company 25% a year by using a formula that he found. So he made an appointment to see the CEO of the company but it wouldn’t be until six month from now and it would only be for fifteen minutes. Well the time of the appointment came and the man was told by the CEO’s assistant that he would only have fifteen for his proposal. So the man agreed and went into the CEO’s offices. The CEO looked the man in the eye and said, “Good day, you have fourteen minutes and fifty-six seconds.”

So the man started but two minutes into his presentation the CEO’s young child came and interrupted him. So for about eight minutes the child told daddy about their day and showed him pictures of their house. Then the child departed singing a little preschool song. The CEO and the man just smiled and said kids. Then the CEO looked at his watch and said, “You now have three minutes and twenty-two second.”

This is the way I see it, God doesn’t stop time; time just doesn’t mean anything to Him and I while I am with Him. The world is still moving but while I am with my Father the world will just have to wait because I need to tell my Abba something. I have His undivided attention and when I leave Him I am singing, “Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, cause the Bible told me so.”

Acts 16: 22-34, tells us about how Paul and Silas were beaten, locked up and thrown in the center of the jail and locked in stocks but somewhere in the middle of the night Paul and Silas started praising and worshipping the Lord for Who He is.

Some old preachers say that the LORD was listening to them praising Him and from His Throne; the Lord of Glory started tapping His foot. Now with God tapping His foot the earth began to quake and the shackles fell of the saints and the doors flew opened. But they didn’t make a run for it, because God had a Plan in His Mind for the advancement of the Kingdom.

Just like in the 1 Samuel with David finding favor with Saul, it’s was God’s Plan of getting David in the palace. It’s was God’s Plan for Paul and Silas to be thrown into jail so they could witness the Gospel to the jailer and his family.

Praise and Worship are not just the time after the service starts and the time before the preacher begins his sermon, it is the time God hears from the saints and we as worshippers Him standing in front of the Throne of Glory and the Master on High to just praise Him for Who He is, the Great I AM.

You have a chose in front of you when trouble comes, you can praise and worship the problem, magnify the issue of this old world and how horrible it has gonna since…, started calling others in to help you in growing the issue into something that it ain’t, and cause more misery then needs to be there. Or you started praising God because you have never seen the righteous forsaken nor he seeds begging for bread, the LORD God’s Word will not come back void, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. My mother would often tell people that were going through, “Just praise Him anyhow.”

The old saints use to say, “If He don’t do nothing else for me, He has already done enough.” Those old saints knew something that we young saints need to get a hold of: Matthew 27: 27-50, Mark 15: 16-37, Luke 23: 26-46, and John 19: 16-30.
