Romans 13: 11- 14 & Ephesians 6: 10- 20
Throughout the Pauline epistles we find the phrase, put on Christ or some variation. When we here this we think of ‘The Amour of God‘ from Ephesians. But it has a deeper meaning then what we have been taught. What I have found in my studies will bless you as it has been blessing me. Some of us can recite Ephesians 6: 10- 20 with no problem and many yet can draw us a picture and show us what it looks like from the amour of a Roman guard, formed from where Paul got his inspiration from. But as the Holy Spirit was dealing with me about an issue in my life He dropped this into my spirit with such a force as only He can do. And it just wouldn’t let me go. As always, I will give it to you as the Holy Spirit gave it to me. Read more…

Romans 12: 14, ‘Bless those who persecute you; bless and curse not.’ NASB
We have here before us two vocabulary words; Bless & Curse. Bless in the Greek is to speak well of someone and curse in the Greek is to wish anyone evil or ruin. Well now since the Apostle was speaking to the Christians that lived in Rome and to us, why would the Holy Spirit inspire him to write these words? I mean for what reason would God have tell His Children not to be mean to others, but be nice and kind in our speaking to one other? I mean if we are doing good works powered by the Hoy Spirit why would anybody persecute us? Well probably because He knew that the world and other Christians would hate and disrespect us when we are doing the Will of God. Read more…
Are you in the Sphere of Grace or the Sphere of the Law? Here is the Sign: Where is your Faith? Christians have three parts in our lives: Prayer Life, Study Life, & Church Attendance. If you miss one of these points do you feel like you have commended a sin, or that you have to double up on that point the next time? You are in the Sphere of Law. These three points of our lives are very important but they merit nothing in the Eyes of God. We are justified by our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit imputes righteousness by the shed Blood of Christ on Calvary’s Cross. At the base of the Cross the Lord Jesus brings His Righteousness and we bring our sins. The Spirit of God puts our sins in the Grave and puts Jesus’ Righteousness on us. As long as we stay with our Faith ‘in Christ‘, we are in the Sphere of Grace and this is the only place where the Holy Spirit has latitude to move in us to make us like Christ. If the Law could have made us like Christ, then why did Jesus have to die on the Cross?
If you know me then you know one simple fact about me. Ambe don’t eat scrambled eggs. It’s not for any real reason other than scrambled eggs look funny, taste strange, and I don’t think they there are cooked thoroughly. This fact was discovered by my father when I was about five or six.
He fixed breakfast; scrambled eggs, grits, and bacon. He served it to me and went to get my little brother ready for the day. He was about a year old. When he came to check on me and see if I was finished he discovered that I had ate everything but the eggs.
“Ambe eat your eggs so we can leave.”
“I don’t like scrambled eggs, they look funny.”
“Ambe, I’m not playing with you, we don’t have all day for this. Eat them eggs or I’m gonna whip you.’
This was the first power struggle, and I won. Read more…
